On Sunday, the Lincoln College Women’s basketball team traveled to Decatur for a match-up with the Millikin University JV squad.  LC got off to a slow start and trailed by 12 points at the end of the first quarter.  The team cut the deficit to seven at the half (42-35), but was never able to fully recover and trailed throughout the second half.  Millikin finished with a 85-79 win.  Strong efforts were turned in by several Lady Lynx, including Jantia Clark (25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals) and Erynn Young (20 points, 8 rebounds, 7 blocks, 3 steals).

Zhane Roper added 18 points and 5 rebounds, and Keona Bolden  contributed 10 points and 7 rebounds.

The loss drops Lincoln’s record to 6-7 on the season.  Next up for LC is a home game against Robert Morris (Peoria) on Thursday evening at 5:30 PM.
